Please define what Roleplay is in your own words: Roleplaying is the act of inserting oneself into an imagined character or persona for the purpose of building a collective story and having fun while doing it.
Please define what Metagaming is in your own words: Metagaming is using OOC information within IC interactions or to influence your character's actions for IC benefit. An example would be knowing the location of another character is from a friend on discord, then conveniently having your character arrive to the former's exact location and killing them.
Please define what Powergaming is in your own words:
This is realized in terms of forcing actions on other characters, not giving other characters a chance to react to your character's actions, and or having an overpowered character.
(Note these are defined on the site, if you need to look through the rule and copy the answers)

Appearance description (describe outfit, hair, eyes etc - 1 paragraph minimum requirement):
Born of solid french-germanic stock should he ever find the need to trace back his lineage, Halifax is a fair skinned human man unadulterated by technological augmentation. His eyes are blue and his hair is brownish black. His casual garb consists of a tawny bomber jacket and navy scarf along with faded jeans and workman's boots. He has more formal attire, but that is saved for special occasions should one ever arise. His face is clean shaven and he bears no obvious scars, but his hands do bear some faded chemical burns related to his profession. He keeps a sleek blackened satchel bag on his person for travel essentials when he is on the go. He recently bought a holster for once he saves up enough money for a reliable sidearm, not that he plans on using it much.
Occupation: Chemical Engineer specializing in organo-metallics
Personality: He is generally a laidback person with a nonchalant optimism about him that can often be mistaken for cynicism. A clear extrovert, enjoying social interaction and not perturbed by the notion of initiating conversations and asserting himself. He can be a bit headstrong at times, but he truly means well.
Personal History: It was college graduation. Hal sits in his cap and gown somewhere in the stands amidst several hundred other graduates also in caps and in gowns. Their graduating class' valedictorian delivers his scripted, supposedly rousing speech eschewing future success and innovation as valedictorians past usually speak about. This should be one of the happiest moments in Hal's life. One tremendous milestone now accomplished. Hal can't help but feel tepid as he scooches around in the hard plastic seat, having been sat for almost an hour at this point.
The speech ends and now it is time for the graduates to rise one by one, shake the deans hand, and receive society's proof of intellectual aptitude. Hal awaits his turn, anticipation growing inside him. His diploma is slightly different from most of the graduates in the stands. He chose to take graduate level courses in his undergraduate which made him eligible for a Masters instead of a Bachelors in chemical engineering. While unnecessary for a position in industry, Hal chose the work for a different reason.
His name is next on the list. He rises, walks over, shakes the dean's hand, receives his diploma and walks back to his seat. Done. The pomp and circumstance his friends talked about and envisioned was but a mere 10 seconds of his life going by on that stage. Eventually the ceremony concludes and they new graduates throw their caps into the air as per tradition. Hal puts a smile on his face and banters with his friends now that his four years of work is over. He doesn't seem as happy as everyone else and soon absconds.
"You know what I think Chris"
Hal asked.
"No, not at all"
Chris retorted.
"I think it's all a sham. College, degrees, all of it."
"What makes you say that?"
"Think about each of us sitting there in the stands before we were handed our diplomas compared to after."
"Uhuh...."
"Before and after we got our diplomas, we still knew the same amount of knowledge, took the same amount of courses, and had the same GPA's ..... what really changed about us after going through the ceremony?"
"You're starting to sound like a philosophy grad right no-
"I'll tell you what changed. We got this papers at the end didn't we? These little..... proofs of our competence that society spit out to us in exchange for the price of four years and our student loans."
"Man, you really should have been a philosophy grad... anyways, I got some whiskey stored up for a special occasion like today. You want some?"
"..... Alright sure."
Soon after, Hal saved enough money to book passage to leave the Saturnian Colonies and embark toward the frontier of human civilization. He's flung himself into the maw of adventure with the pursuit of making a mark on this world with only wit, moxie, and chutzpah to guide him.
(Optional) Criminal History: Numerous underage drinking violations that he's had while in university (some documented, some not).
Medical Conditions/Disabilities: Deathly allergic to chestnuts, mildly allergic to strawberries
Goals: Make a mark on this world, live a comfortable life, innovate (general goal)
(Optional) Relationships: None so far
