Omnidyne. A name that struck fear into the hearts of people who were on their bad side. One would think that such a monolithic corporation would have some sort of fantastic beginning. That is not the case, for like many corporations that were built in the frontier, Omnidyne was built from blood, sweat, and tears.
Owner and founder of Omnidyne, Russe Hardson, started out on the streets with only the clothes on his back. From there he was able to rise up out of the grime and filth of the streets of District One. Within a year, Omnidyne had grown to a small weapons manufacturing company, and after securing deals with large entities such as the Kepler Government and the IMC, it was destined to grow even larger.
It was at about this time that the IMC left Kepler. With a lot of competition gone, Omnidyne stepped in and secured major government contracts that allowed it to gain even more power. The newly formed Kepler Marine Corps were gearing up with Omnidyne weapons and armor, as well as having their ships manufactured by Omnidyne’s behemoth ship known as “The Factory”. The IAS and DoD were in similar positions will both using Omnidyne tech and assets.
Then something happened. Most are unclear as to what, but everyone knows this: Omnidyne turned on the people it had helped for so long. Several battles between Omnidyne’s Para-Military Force and the forces of KepGov broke out across the system. These battles ended when [REDACTED] lead a mission against [REDACTED]. The DoD and KMC seized all Omnidyne assets and integrated them.
It was thought by all that Omnidyne was dead, along with it’s founder and owner. However that was not the last Kepler would hear from Russe Hardson. The Nine-Day War broke out when Russe returned to the system, backed by EarthGov, to take Kepler by force.
